Spring Mysteries Festival @ Fort Flagler
Apr 9 – Apr 12 all-day
Spring Mysteries Festival @ Fort Flagler

The Spring Mysteries Festival is a recreation of the Eleusinian Mysteries, the ancient initiatory rites of classical Greek Paganism which were conducted in secrecy for over two thousand years before the common era. The ATC brings you this continuing initiatory cycle, now in its 35th year of continuous presentation, including the Rites of Passage for youngsters coming into their adulthood in our community; and the Adult Affirmation of Path, for those new to the path.

This year is extra special for us as The Aquarian Tabernacle Church of Canada will be installing a new Archpriestess, our very own Mary Malinski!

For newcomers: Welcome! You will be Mystai (the Greeks’ name for participants), and will undergo the Lesser Mysteries.

For those returning (who have gone through the Lesser Mysteries in a prior year) Welcome back! You will undergo the Greater Mysteries, or Epoptaic Initiation. The Greater Mysteries are for adults 18 and older who have attended the Lesser Mysteries in a previous year, and for children who are between 13 and 17 years old who have also attended the Lesser Mysteries in a prior year, and have gone through the Youth Rites of Passage.

This festival is packed full of various workshops, classes, and lectures about all aspects of Wicca, Paganism, and the ATC Tradition. They are often hosted by well-known elders and members of the regional and national community. “Friday Night at the Apollo Theater” is always a lot of fun with a Talent Show and Auction. There are also amazing Shrines to many of the Greek Gods, as well as celebrations, bardic circles, music, drumming, and magic running throughout the entire weekend.

Merchants from across the land come to offer their special wares for sale in the Snack Kitchen area, the source of between-meals snacks, sweet delights, and ESPRESSO to jump-start your mornings and prolong your nights! Indoor bunking is in heated dorms where lots of hot water showers are available. Standard meal service is mainstream (unless otherwise indicated on your registration form) to suit every taste, with big servings of wholesome, tasty food prepared by our staff of professional cooks and many volunteers. No one ever goes away from our kitchen hungry!

Hekate’s Sickle Festival @ Fort Flagler
Oct 15 – Oct 18 all-day
Hekate's Sickle Festival @ Fort Flagler

Hekate’s Sickle is an exploration of the mysteries of the Goddess Hekate. This event is held annually just before Samhain, or Halloween. During the festival, participants will participate in workshops and classes that allow them to explore the grief and death aspects of the Wiccan belief structure, as well as undergo healing experiences that will help them move from the dark half to the light half of our year. While many festivals explore the summer or spring concepts, Hekate’s Sickle is unique in the fall/death/after life concept.

The festival is situated at the historic military grounds located at Fort Flagler in Nordland, WA, and allows festival attendees to learn about the land as well as visit local sights before and after the event. Surrounded by Port Townsend Bay, views are certain to amaze while spending time evaluating the unique experience of Hekate’s Sickle Festival.
